Today’s comic is actually a true story. Of course I should preface this by saying that I am getting older and I’ve noticed that my sight isn’t what it used to be, but I can still see very well and – as far as I know – 20/20. But I was driving around yesterday at lunch trying to find a chicken restaurant in an unfamiliar part of town. Suddenly I saw it in the distance. As I got closer the colors and even the design of the place began to confirm that this was, in fact, the chicken place. It wasn’t until I got almost right up on it that I realized I was racing toward a car wash.
I mean, seriously, a car wash? What bastard principles of design have we followed in today’s world that every consumer experience is almost identical? From food to socks to car washes, as I look around me – unfortunately – I see a lot of the same. It saddens me not only in the lack of variety of but in the abundance of the mundane.
At any rate, I found the restaurant and I did have chicken so all was right with the world for a short time
Hope everyone has a great weekend and remember to vote on TWC (vote link up top on the right) and spread the word.

I had a similar experience. I thought I was headed for a restaurant to have a nice meal. Turns out, it’s a large dry cleaning place. Go figure.
