It seemed that when the iPad was first announced, the entire internet was buzzing with how this was one of Apple’s blunders. The iPad, in many people’s eyes (including mine), fell short of its potential. Not quite a laptop but not really a book reader either. And, to many, it was just a really big iPod Touch.
But Saturday you would have thought that Christmas had come in April and to Apple it sort of did. I was disappointed in the initial announcement of the iPad. I was hoping for a touch screen laptop device that I could create comics and websites on with products such as Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. What I felt was introduced was a big, heavy, cumbersome iPod. But after seeing the thing in action, in real life, I’m kinda jealous of the people around me and on Twitter that have them. Even though I still pretty much think it’s kinda overrated (this generation anyway) I still really want one.
Thanks again to everyone for spreading the word about the comic, for voting on TWC and for continuing to read and support my efforts

This is SOOOOO where my brain is! LOL!
Yeah, same here. It’s funny because when the thing was first announced I was really disappointed and even up to saturday I was ,meh, about it. But now it’s like I can’t stand not having one. I guess it’s the whole “wanting what others have and you dont” thing, I dunno.
I’m still gonna hold out for a third or fourth gen one though, hoping it will be more fine tuned and be more friendly to people that want to create on it rather than just consume.
