If you follow my Twitter feed you’ll note that in the last 24 hours I have watched the 3rd, 4th and 5th installments of the Harry Potter movies for the first time. The first movie was good, it was what it was – a movie to introduce all the characters and concepts to the movie audience. The second movie completely lost me because I didn’t feel it was anything more than an updated first movie.

At the prodding of friends (and this home movie) I decided to give the franchise another chance, and boy am I glad I did. I was blown away by how visually amazing the movies were and how much more they kept adding to the visuals and effects on each new movie. The story and world that J.K. Rowling has created is also equally as amazing as well as the character development. In short, I’m hooked.
