I was threatened with bodily harm by @burchislurking (the person that inspired the character of Gary in the strip) on Twitter yesterday that I had better have Gary eating some funnel cake. Then it donned on me, of all the things that define a carnival or fair funnel cake is THAT thing! Why had I not used some funnel cake before today? What the hell is wrong with me!!!???/111///

Today’s sketch is an answer to @burchislurking’s challenge (and threat). Today I present the funnel cake!

In reality the fair does come to my town next week. Again, I will probably be able to escape the bulk of the festivities, but I’m sure one day I’ll be out there doing my favorite thing while at the fair…EATING!
