As I drew yesterday’s sketch I begin to realize that Hugo and (to a lesser degree) Harley were pretty hard to draw accurately time after time. I mean, there are parts of them that are very easy to draw and take little time but in the faces it seems that they have to be just perfectly constructed or the whole character is different. At any rate I decided to redesign Hugo the Cat a little bit to see if I can get him down to something easier and more basic to draw. I really like this look and I kind of have an entire storyline that can explain the change in the look of his eyes in the comic, so he’s probably going to continue to be modeled like this. I may change Harley D. Og up too, but he’s not as hard to get the look of as Hugo was so I may just leave him alone for now.
Remember, next Monday the strips starts back up again. As of now the tentative schedule for the strip will possibly be M,W,F full color comic strips with T,TH having new sketchbook drawings post so that their will continue to be new daily content while I try to get a work flow that can bring full color comic strips up to daily production. I am equally thinking of doing T, TH full color strips with M,W,F having the sketches, I will have to just wait and see how long production takes me on strips and what my freelance and holiday work schedule looks like. Either way the strips returns next week and there will be daily content up five days a week, so spread the word
