Well it looks like I immediately disregarded my update schedule for this month as soon as I mentioned it on Twitter last week. I’m sorry about that, but I’ve been putting this story line together at the spur of the moment and my minds been all over the place this week.
I didn’t intend to have a story line this month and, to be honest, last week’s comic was just supposed to be a quick one-off strip, but my fiancee – @khurlebusch – planted a kernel in my head about this or that and the next thing I know I’ve got the rough workings of a story line.
So, over the remainder of the month we are going to see how successful I can be at getting a last minute, end of year story out. It’ll be fun, like the Log Ride at Disneyland
Thanks again guys for sticking in with me this year and thanks and welcome to all the new readers I’ve picked up over the year as well. You guys make all the crazy late nights worth it

Turned out good, Thomas! Keep it up man!
Thanks Will, I appreciate it. I’m trying to get a lot faster at drawing my characters and trying not to be too knitpicky when I ink too. I’m such a knitpicker.
Nitpicking is par for my course too, Thomas. Something I struggle with myself! Looks like the makings of a great storyline, too. Good luck with the art marathon!
I can relate. I basically quit my comic for a year for nitpicking. Now I feel its better to crap out a mediocre strip and do better on the next one, than it is to be paralyzed with perfection. Gotta keep moving forward!
I think all artists struggle with the knitpicking, unfortunately. I think what has helped me try and overcome a lot of it is like you said Will, just get something out – do the best you can do right then on it – and then try to make the next one better. I come from a production art background mainly and I am trying to apply that type of mentality to my comics in terms of output. Its hard to find that middle ground with production and good art though. I hope I am improving on that front though, I feel like I am
Thanks Mark. The story line is going to be a Christmas miracle time traveling extravaganza!
