Ok, I’ll admit it. I don’t have the time, money or talent to create a Robot Friday app for the iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch (and frankly I’m not even sure the world really needs one) but what I can do is let you know how you can still make Robot Friday accessible with just one touch on your device’s home screen. Keep reading to find out how you can have your very own iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch faux app link.
First thing you need is to make sure you have an Apple product. These instructions will only cover Apple products since I don’t own any Droid or third party devices myself. Once you’ve determined that you do have an Apple product the rest is easy. This explanation will cover the iPod Touch mainly since, again, I don’t actually own an iPhone or iPad right now, but I would imagine that the steps to creating a faux app link will span across all three devices.
1.) On your device press your Safari app.
2.) Type in www.robotfriday.com in the url bar at the top of the app.
3.) Once you arrive at Robotfriday.com tap the small “+” symbol at the bottom of your screen.
4.) A menu will appear with three different choices, choose Add to Home Screen.
5.) A new page will appear prompting you to name your new icon for this website. You can name the icon anything you want, such as Robot Friday.
6.) Tap Add at the top right corner to finish the process.
7.) You will now be taken to your device’s home screen to view your new faux Robot Friday app icon. Tap the icon and enjoy new comics and graphic design blog posts daily
